About RentCheck

RentCheck was created to solve a very simple problem: most people choose where to rent based on photos, agent descriptions and a quick walk around the area – not on real data. That can lead to unpleasant surprises with crime, noise, poor transport or very weak local services.

RentCheck brings together multiple UK data sources into one easy-to-read neighbourhood report, so that renters can make better decisions before they move.

What RentCheck does

  • Lets you enter a UK postcode and instantly analyse the surrounding area.
  • Combines crime, schools, public transport, rent levels and noise where available.
  • Produces a clear 0–100 RentCheck score and a detailed PDF report you can share with family, partners or landlords.
  • Offers a PRO subscription with the ability to generate multiple reports and compare areas side-by-side.

Who it's for

RentCheck is designed for anyone trying to choose the right neighbourhood in the UK:

  • Students and first-time renters.
  • People relocating within the UK or moving from abroad.
  • Remote workers and professionals looking for a quiet, safe area.
  • Families who need to understand schools and safety around potential homes.
  • Landlords and letting agents who want to offer more transparent information to tenants.

How RentCheck is built

Under the hood, RentCheck uses open data from official UK sources (police, government, transport feeds, school and rental datasets), cleans and combines it into a single internal model and then renders a clear summary for each area.

The goal is not to replace your own judgement, but to give you a much better starting point than “just a postcode and some photos”.
