1. About RentCheck

RentCheck is an online tool that provides data-based neighbourhood reports for rental areas in the United Kingdom. Our reports are designed to help renters better understand crime, schools, transport, rent levels and noise in a particular area before signing a tenancy.

2. No legal or financial advice

The information presented by RentCheck is for informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, financial or immigration advice and should not be relied upon as such. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on RentCheck reports.

3. Data sources and limitations

RentCheck relies on third-party and official open data sources (including, but not limited to, police statistics, government indices, transport datasets, school and rental market data). We cannot guarantee that all data is complete, perfectly accurate or up to date at all times.

Neighbourhood scores and metrics are computed using our own internal methodology and may not match other providers' views or government definitions. They should be treated as indicative, not absolute.

4. Accounts and usage

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree not to share paid access or reports in a way that violates these terms or applicable law.

5. Payments and subscriptions

Paid reports and subscriptions are processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. By purchasing a report or subscription, you agree to the pricing and billing terms presented at checkout.

Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel future renewals from your account settings. We typically do not offer refunds for completed digital report generation.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use RentCheck in any way that is unlawful, abusive, or harms other users or third parties. You must not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or bulk-download data from RentCheck without our explicit written consent.

7. Changes to the service

We may update, modify or discontinue parts of RentCheck at any time, including features, pricing or data coverage. Where appropriate, we will attempt to give reasonable notice to active subscribers.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RentCheck and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the service, including any decision to rent or not rent a property in a particular area.
